Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (Capital of Canada)? hehe.. I wish!

Hi Gina - thank you for these Clean up Your Mess shows. I wrote to Peter through Oprah's website and haven't heard back from him. I have a problem with recipe's I've printed out from my computer, take out menu's AND cookbooks. I stuff as many of these as possible into the brown paper bag in my pantry. Mostly, the recipes are laying on top of the bag - oy! I don't have counter space for the cookbooks. What would Peter suggest?

I found a recipe easel from The Container Store - sweet!

San Diego!! How can you resist San Diego?
Even if I didn't get to be the lucky one in the episode-it would be so great to see a show here. Oh, what I wouldn't give to have Peter come help me part with all of this baggage! My husband would be horrified to have it all shown on TV,but we really need it. We are liscenced to adopt another child-but we have so much junk we don't have room! How sad is that. Our house (otherwise known as the 'storage shed' by my husband) is just bursting at it's 900sq ft seams.

I'm sure you'd have your pick of homes much like mine here in beautiful, sunny, warm San Diego. :)

Come on up to Connecticut on the shoreline.

I love the Messy House Tour segments. Hoarding is a pet peeve of mine. There are sooooo many people whose homes are so messy & unorganized & it really is a big problem in their lives. Peter is really doing a great thing w/ helping people relieve themselves of their things. I love how quickly they do it. Keep cleaning up America!! It's so freeing.

People buy too much crap & never get rid of anything. It starts w/ junk mail & then explodes from their. Stuff is just stuff - people have too much emotional attachment to things. Who's seen those shows w/ extreme hoarders where they can't even walk in their house? This one lady had so much stuff piled against the walls that mold grew - not healthy. So gross.

For each new thing you buy & bring in the house, get rid of 3 things.

Office/Family room. I own a restaurant. My office is the least of my concern, I'm more often found in the dinning room and kitchen. My children and grand children spen more time in my office than I do. However, I still need that space as an office and they need a space because I bring them with me to work....quite often. It gets so bad that I take my work to the dinning room because I can't stand the cluttered and dingy office. I need an office/family room at work! Any ideas?
