Amazed

Posted on Jul 18, 2009 3:39 PM

I am amazed at how loud the sounds of silence can ring in ones head.

I am sure that humans are not designed to handle extended periods of silence and I am certain that we are not designed to go through life alone. We all need someone we can share our joys and triumphs and our failures and sadness with.

If I know all of this, why do I find myself being the shoulder for every tear, yet I have no shoulder to cry on. Why be the one everyone turns to when down, or out, or lonely, yet have no one to turn to. Why be the one always being the comforter and never being comforted.

I hope this is not the role I have to fulfil in life?

I hope to continue searching for the answers, and make the best of the journey.

Song in the Head

Posted on Jul 4, 2009 5:19 AM

Have you ever stood up from a good nights sleep with a song in your head, and just could not shake it for the day. Well I had one of those this morning, the song, The Greatest Love Of All, sung by Ms Whitney Houston.

The song had a new meaning this morning, I have been on my quest to find inner happiness and peace, and this song seemed to have the answer.

The universe works in wonderful ways........

Just For Today, Honour Your Teachers

Posted on Jun 27, 2009 4:48 PM

Today I focused on honoring my teachers.

Who are my teachers? Anyone or anything that teaches you something, a
babies laugh, your dog, an ant, all these and a myriad of others have
little hidden lessons to teach us. I am grateful for the lessons they
impart.

Nelson Mandela taught me forgiveness, F.W. De Klerk, an unsung hero,
taught me that breaking away from the old ways is not always the wrong
thing to do, Ms Winfrey constantly begs us to ask questions and
actively seek answers through her talk show, the list is endless, and
does not just consist of public figures. I often work with children who
come from troubled backgrounds, they have this innate ability to
rebound given the attention they need, and they often teach me more
than I can impart to them. (This reminds me of a story, which I will
recant a next time)

So Just For Today, Honor Your Teachers, whomever they are.......

Just For Today

Posted on Jun 26, 2009 12:04 PM

I have been taking time out, taking stock of my life, and been wondering, why, when I am doing what I enjoy most, I am still not happy?

Watching the dvd The Secret awoke apart of me that I have lost, the spark, the drive that is me..... I meditated on some of the messages I gleaned from dvd, and my little voice within reminded me of some of the Rheiki teaching I had learned. My WOW moment.

JUST FOR TODAY

Once you realize you can not do anything about your past, merely take away a lesson learnt, and your future lies ahead, still unwritten.

You have the power to take control of your present, and what you do with the now becomes your past and your steer your future.

An example of what I do.

Each day I try and focus on one aspect in my life I feel needs work and form a mantra...Just for today, I shall not anger, meditate on this thought throughout the day and see how easy it becomes when faced with situation that would normally anger you.
