#24...using you mind creatively...(pp68-69)

Posted on Jun 3, 2008 1:05 PM

To some extent we already are using our minds creatively, but really not near as much as is possible...take a look and see for yourself...whether you write, or paint, shoot photos, basketweave, this is for you!...being aware of the Stillness, focus on your inner body...Eckhart does this when he sits down to write...and he writes in longhand (no computer jockey is he!)...whatever, look at what he produces...here's the thing though folks...you, yes you, are potentially capable of becoming more creative too...and who wouldn't want to be actually more creative...your guess...when you are anchored in Stillness, thinking becomes fresher than before....make sure to think with your whole body, not just your head...you go back and forth between thoughts and inner listening...breathing is you friend, remember, breathe consciously...just focus...yes, that's it!...if you feel you must, visualize yourself immersed in a sea of consciousness, luminous...breathe in that light...feel it....switch your focus to your feeling from the visual light you imagined...focus now, this moment...this is accessing the power on the Now...this, is where it's at, right here and Now!...write on...peace, habsonfire

#23...get the boost you need! (pp.66-68)

Posted on Jun 2, 2008 5:26 PM

....this self-healing meditation works well when your immune system needs a boost...just lay on your back and simply flood your body with consciousness...visualize light if you must...eyes closed preferably...now let your attention run through your body in waves, and then feel the inner body as one field of energy...hold this for as long as you deem necessary, but at least for a few minutes...yes, thoughts come and go, like clouds...just keep returning your attention within, conscious breathing also helps...wow!...what a relaxing way to give yourself a boost...do you need a boost?...well here it is! peace, habsonfire

#22...the roots within...(pp.64-66)

Posted on Jun 2, 2008 5:52 AM

...when you maintain the state of permanent connectedness with your inner body, life is deeply transformed...in fact, the more that consciousness is directed inward, the higher it's 'vibrational frequency' becomes...this has to be good for you as now negativity has markedly less an affect and you actually may attract more positive circumstances into your daily life...now thoughts and emotions, fears and desires won't take you over...always attempt to keep at least some of your attention directed within...feel your inner body as a single field of energy...practice continuously being 'rooted' within and you will be able to focus on your external 'doings' with greater awareness and presence...test it out! ...peace, habsonfire

Connecting!...blog #21 (pp.61-64)

Posted on Jun 1, 2008 8:34 AM

This has to be my favourite part of the book... NOW! ...close your eyes for this...okay, ready, set, ...go deeply into your body...relax, breathe conscious breaths, become aware of your entire energy field...All is Beingness...no boundaries...going more deeply, now you have transcended...inner and outer distinctions dissolve...stay here in this realm for as long as it's comfortable...All is One...now become aware of your physicality, open your eyes...but also continue to feel your inner body...you have gone deeply into Being, the realm of deep Stillness and Peace, of joy and 'intense' aliveness...when present, you are transparent to the light of pure consciousness, emanating from the Source...there is no separation in this state and you realize your very essence...This ESSENCE is PRESENCE!!! ...this is you! ...just remember to keep this portal open as you go about your daily activities...always come back to this instant when you stray into form...this is maintaining your freedom from form...realize this.... you are a 'bridge' between the manifested and the unmanifested...this is the state of connectedness with the Source that is called enlightenment...are we enlightened yet?...are we there yet?...here yet?...for most of us the response is still 'no', but, we're workin' on it...keep on keepin' on!!!...can you think of something better to do? (smile) ...peace, habs

#20 (pp.58-60)...realizing pure consciousness...

Posted on Jun 1, 2008 7:06 AM

When you watch the mind, you withdraw consciousness from mind forms. Thus, the watcher, as pure consciousness, grows stronger and mental formations weaken. Be deeply rooted within...inhabit your body fully...attention to the inner energy field keeps you anchored in the Now...you are beyond the outer form...reclaim consciousness from the mind...take the focus of attention away from thinking and direct it to the body where Being is felt as the invisible energy field that gives life to what you perceive as the physical body...this is a feeling realization. peace, habs

#19..the arising of beauty in this Stillness...

Posted on May 31, 2008 5:58 PM

...if you have not seen the beauty,or been aware of nature's sacred face, it's majestic qualities, you haven't been present...if your mind becomes clear above the clamour, you are totally here, yes, right Now!...go deeply my friends...this deep inner holy essence has no name but it is here beyond the beauty of outward forms...when you experience beauty in a face, a cloud, a tear drop, this inner essence somehow shines through, and when your heart makes the connection, you realize and smile that Mona Lisa smile...THIS ESSENCE IS THIS PRESENCE!...go ahead just now and discover it for yourself...it always waits for your arrival with infinite patience...this new perspective is a most wonderful gift peace, habs

a bottomless pit...(pp.54-56)

Posted on May 31, 2008 8:12 AM

...in presence the past cannot survive...if we delve into the past too much we'll hopefully understand that it's a bottomless pit...less attention to the past is the solution...the key is to access the Now....we know how to do this...we have the skills...attention!...attention!...to the present, to your behaviour, reactions, moods, thoughts, emotions, fears, and desires as they happen now...you will only get lost if you waste your day, your precious 'time' here, revisiting the past in a fashion that involves attachment...free yourself...find yourself right here, right now, by simply being present...so easy it's almost laughable ...peace, habs

waiting (pp.51-54)#17...a world of waiters

Posted on May 30, 2008 8:27 AM

...when you need an answer, it will be there (here), so will the strength, and the courage, as well as the right action...whatever comes your way...remember...in God We Trust!

...on waiting?...we are a world of waiters...waiting...small time, big time, waiters...remembering that waiting is a state of mind is required by you...so you just have to come into the present moment...again, breathing is your best reminder and of course your ability to just be here totally in this present moment...it's easy now, right?...because the false, unhappy self will continously take you out of It you must be vigilant that it no longer has the power to keep you trapped in time...nobody in their right mind would want to be trapped like this in an illusion...would they?...but this is the standard practice for humanity!...alert presence is where It's at...be present with your whole Being, every single cell of your body is on alert!...the old "you", that small self and all it's stories, that had a past and a future, is barely here now...and the good news is that now you are more fully who you really are than ever before...congrats!!...nothing of value has even been lost...a further note here...Zukav would say that your soul and personality are now aligned, albeit your personality is barely here now since attachments have dissolved...this is true peace of mind and is also known as the peace that passeth understanding...it's all good...a tip for those of you who keep forgetting to be present when 'waiting' becomes an issue...Ram Dass used to keep his sacred meditation beads in his pocket just in case while in a lineup at the supermarket he got caught up in the waiting game...hey...do you have a rosary?...this would work fine...but really, we all breathe, so be conscious of this involuntary activity and everything will be fine, here and now!... peace, habsonfire

wherever you go! pp.50-51 #16

Posted on May 29, 2008 4:32 PM

When you go there, be here, totally! One great way to get old really fast is to create a huge pile of past in your psyche. How is this done? By your thought processes actually creating pride, anger, regret, self-pity, and let's not forget guilt. Let's face it, holding onto the past is an illusion. Right now, feel your presence. Die to the past each and every moment. Worried? Anxious? Your mind is actually creating an imaginary future that doesn't even exist. When you just slow down and consider, it's very insane to live this way. But isn't it the way of this crazy merry-go-round world? So, what you must do for your own peace of mind is simple. Become friends with the present moment. You see, you can cope with what's happening right now, but there is no way on earth that you can handle imaginary past and future events. Ask yourself if you are caught up in this dream, or more appropriately, this nightmare. The only escape is through the door of Now. Now is all there is! It's all we have because?...it's everything. It's One. Take this moment to feel your inner energy field and breathe, just breathe. No fear here! It's so easy when you discover that all you have to do is cope with the moment, just here, right Now. Anything you have that needs doing will be done in the spirit of awakened doing. Just stay present. peace, habsonfire

...(pp47-48)..the dissolving of consciousness

Posted on May 29, 2008 10:20 AM

Imagine a sugar cube dissolving in a warm glass of water. This is an image I have when I contemplate the dissolving of consciousness. Basically, anything unconscious dissolves when you shine the light of consciousness on it. Considering the aforementioned analogy, the sugar cube symbolizes 'thinking' and the accompaning resistence exemplified through your discontent, your judgemental attitudes, and mental projections, which collectively take you literally away from this very instant, the Now, which is all we have. The sugar cube also represents, on an 'emotional' level, those undercurrents of unease, boredom, nervousness, and tension, which are all too often, you daily companions. There is nobody living here right now, and that's about 6.7 billion souls, who is exempt from this. So, what can the average Joe, or Jane, do about this? It's really quite simple friends. Just learn to monitor your mental and emotional states through self-observation. It is essential that you become interested in what's happening on the inside first. This is primary. The outside becomes secondary to this. Why? Because when your inside is right, your outside will fall into place. So, look inside! Ask, how am I feeling, and what type of thoughts is my mind producing? With practice, and it does take practice for most of us, your ability to detect low level uneasiness, that irritating background static, which interfers with the clear light of consciousness, will I promise, if you really want it with all your heart, sharpen , often dramatically. If you're not into drama, that's okay (smile). Comedy works wonders!...peace, habsonfire

...free at last, free at last...the timeless state of consciuosness...free of time...free of any psychological need of yesterday for your identity, and the future for your fulfillment...losing the Now, returning to Now...as you shift it seems endlessly, back and forth, like the tides, you continue to grow more conscious...eventually you see that presence has become your predominant state...it's more like a stage...you've worked for this and in every humble way, you've earned it...this is not going to be as easy as we would like it to be my friends, but the journey assumes greater significance when you're increasingly discovering it easier to remain anchored in the Now...free at last! ...peace, habsonfire

the joys of being (#13)...pp.43-44 PTPON

Posted on May 28, 2008 6:58 AM

...Always remember to give full attention to this moment...forgetting comes easy, doesn't it?...if and when you do forget, realize that time is covering up the moment at hand...look at it all as a positive sign if there is ease, and joy, and a lightness in your doing...this is awakened doing...if you find that there is unhappiness and life seems to be a constant struggle with your life situation, you've missed the mark...acting out of the present means that quality, care, and love imbue every action you take...a strong spiritual practice is for you to not worry at all about the results of your actions...no concerns...no worry....from this attitude, the joy of Being flows into everything you do!...no more looking for future salvation...failure?...success?...they have no power any more...this new liberating sense of self comes directly now from Being, your deeper dimension...this is the Life beyond your tired life situation...you don't want that anymore...enough suffering...Now you are whole and complete! ...peace, habsonfire

...sometimes, maybe most of the time, this is tough for us to 'get'...problems are illusions of the mind...let's see...pain is created when you create a problem...now if you've suffered enough already, then the choice is yours and is actually easy to make...simply create no more problems...if you are to be successful in this you have to access the power of the Now...if there are situations that need to be addressed this very instant, as fleeting as this is, your action is best delivered out of present- moment awareness...the more pressing the situation is, the more intense your present- mindedness needs to be...makes sense...it's totally an intuitive response to a situation with no reaction on your part that makes all the difference...just remember, and often we so easily forget in tight and demanding situations,to stay centered in the Now...this is surrender!.... peace, habsonfire ps...it's relatively easy to stay in the Now when we are being quiet, maybe in meditation, or walking in nature...then the unexpected happens, we are pushed to the limits, and then what?...it's always our choice to decide the attitude we will take...nothing comes easy, it seems. ..remembering that all things pass is part of the solution, but above all it's our ability to be here Now and the inner peace we feel that shows us where we are...keep practicing!

"life situations" (11)..pp 39-41of PTPON

Posted on May 26, 2008 10:03 AM

...excuse my negligence in not stating the pages thay my last blog was inspired by: pp.36-39...

... listen now!.......you are waking from the dream of time...this denial of the Now can't go on any longer...you've had enough of the insanity...most can easily see that the Now is happiness...your life is beyond your life situation...your life situation is just this imposter... psychological time?...your life situation is basically psychological time with past regrets and future hopes, all hindering the pure light of consciousness...so it's just this now, right here this instant...it comes to this...pay attention to your life!...this is Now...your worn out shirt life situation exists in time...who in their right mind would want that, really?...whenever you can, create some space, make some room, so you can find the life under your life situation...got that friend?...this awakening out of the dream of time, moving deeply into the Now, using your senses fully (all 5 of 'em!) , being aware of the silent presence of each thing, and aware of the space that allows everything to be,,,allow this 'isness' of all things...and now your mental abstractions are gone...poof!...departed, ancient history...you are getting out of the insane illusiory mind that once had the power of draining you of your life energy, of your life itself...remember now, you are awakening from the nightmare dream of time...into the Eternal Present...the NOW!... peace, habsonfire

psychological time (9)

Posted on May 25, 2008 12:59 PM

...psychological time is not the same as clock time...the former ties you to a past and/or, to a future...clock time is the practical use of time for things you need to do...these things all involve this step right here, and now...psychological time takes you away from this present moment...therefore, most importantly, your degree of presence determines the quality of your consiousness, so if you are able to be aware of your tendencies to delve into the past, or anticipate the future, you are being taken out of this moment and remain an unconscious victim in the continuous loop of the egoic mind...you will be at a great loss to find peace of mind in this circle of suffering...so, be here, be present...you have the techniques necessary to be here as your essential Self....this is your primary purpose, everything else becomes secondary...habsonfire
