#32...inner resistance...(pp.106-110)

Posted on Jun 12, 2008 5:21 AM

...inner resistance is experienced by us as negativity...this may range from irritibility and impatience to extreme anger, or a depressed mood to suicidal despair...witness road rage if you'd like a perfect example...the ego actually grows in strength from negativity, and the pain-body can be triggered by seemingly insignificant events...remember that annoying noise from the neighbour's lawnmower?...the ego appears to be blind to positivity when it has identified with negativity and it ignorantly sees this as the only way to get what it wants...this is insane!...but you know how many of us routinely operate from this premise...for help it would be best to observe nature and let it teach you about presence...if negativity does arise, just let it be a 'reminder' for you to become present, right Now...it then loses its power against the rising level of your consciousness...as negativity arises, simply wake up, be here, right Now!...get out of your mind, so-to-speak, or at least pay immediate attention to the feeling...you might also benefit by imagining yourself becoming transparent to the external cause of the reaction...let it pass right through you! ...peace, habs
