#19..the arising of beauty in this Stillness...

Posted on May 31, 2008 5:58 PM

...if you have not seen the beauty,or been aware of nature's sacred face, it's majestic qualities, you haven't been present...if your mind becomes clear above the clamour, you are totally here, yes, right Now!...go deeply my friends...this deep inner holy essence has no name but it is here beyond the beauty of outward forms...when you experience beauty in a face, a cloud, a tear drop, this inner essence somehow shines through, and when your heart makes the connection, you realize and smile that Mona Lisa smile...THIS ESSENCE IS THIS PRESENCE!...go ahead just now and discover it for yourself...it always waits for your arrival with infinite patience...this new perspective is a most wonderful gift peace, habs

a bottomless pit...(pp.54-56)

Posted on May 31, 2008 8:12 AM

...in presence the past cannot survive...if we delve into the past too much we'll hopefully understand that it's a bottomless pit...less attention to the past is the solution...the key is to access the Now....we know how to do this...we have the skills...attention!...attention!...to the present, to your behaviour, reactions, moods, thoughts, emotions, fears, and desires as they happen now...you will only get lost if you waste your day, your precious 'time' here, revisiting the past in a fashion that involves attachment...free yourself...find yourself right here, right now, by simply being present...so easy it's almost laughable ...peace, habs

waiting (pp.51-54)#17...a world of waiters

Posted on May 30, 2008 8:27 AM

...when you need an answer, it will be there (here), so will the strength, and the courage, as well as the right action...whatever comes your way...remember...in God We Trust!

...on waiting?...we are a world of waiters...waiting...small time, big time, waiters...remembering that waiting is a state of mind is required by you...so you just have to come into the present moment...again, breathing is your best reminder and of course your ability to just be here totally in this present moment...it's easy now, right?...because the false, unhappy self will continously take you out of It you must be vigilant that it no longer has the power to keep you trapped in time...nobody in their right mind would want to be trapped like this in an illusion...would they?...but this is the standard practice for humanity!...alert presence is where It's at...be present with your whole Being, every single cell of your body is on alert!...the old "you", that small self and all it's stories, that had a past and a future, is barely here now...and the good news is that now you are more fully who you really are than ever before...congrats!!...nothing of value has even been lost...a further note here...Zukav would say that your soul and personality are now aligned, albeit your personality is barely here now since attachments have dissolved...this is true peace of mind and is also known as the peace that passeth understanding...it's all good...a tip for those of you who keep forgetting to be present when 'waiting' becomes an issue...Ram Dass used to keep his sacred meditation beads in his pocket just in case while in a lineup at the supermarket he got caught up in the waiting game...hey...do you have a rosary?...this would work fine...but really, we all breathe, so be conscious of this involuntary activity and everything will be fine, here and now!... peace, habsonfire

wherever you go! pp.50-51 #16

Posted on May 29, 2008 4:32 PM

When you go there, be here, totally! One great way to get old really fast is to create a huge pile of past in your psyche. How is this done? By your thought processes actually creating pride, anger, regret, self-pity, and let's not forget guilt. Let's face it, holding onto the past is an illusion. Right now, feel your presence. Die to the past each and every moment. Worried? Anxious? Your mind is actually creating an imaginary future that doesn't even exist. When you just slow down and consider, it's very insane to live this way. But isn't it the way of this crazy merry-go-round world? So, what you must do for your own peace of mind is simple. Become friends with the present moment. You see, you can cope with what's happening right now, but there is no way on earth that you can handle imaginary past and future events. Ask yourself if you are caught up in this dream, or more appropriately, this nightmare. The only escape is through the door of Now. Now is all there is! It's all we have because?...it's everything. It's One. Take this moment to feel your inner energy field and breathe, just breathe. No fear here! It's so easy when you discover that all you have to do is cope with the moment, just here, right Now. Anything you have that needs doing will be done in the spirit of awakened doing. Just stay present. peace, habsonfire

...(pp47-48)..the dissolving of consciousness

Posted on May 29, 2008 10:20 AM

Imagine a sugar cube dissolving in a warm glass of water. This is an image I have when I contemplate the dissolving of consciousness. Basically, anything unconscious dissolves when you shine the light of consciousness on it. Considering the aforementioned analogy, the sugar cube symbolizes 'thinking' and the accompaning resistence exemplified through your discontent, your judgemental attitudes, and mental projections, which collectively take you literally away from this very instant, the Now, which is all we have. The sugar cube also represents, on an 'emotional' level, those undercurrents of unease, boredom, nervousness, and tension, which are all too often, you daily companions. There is nobody living here right now, and that's about 6.7 billion souls, who is exempt from this. So, what can the average Joe, or Jane, do about this? It's really quite simple friends. Just learn to monitor your mental and emotional states through self-observation. It is essential that you become interested in what's happening on the inside first. This is primary. The outside becomes secondary to this. Why? Because when your inside is right, your outside will fall into place. So, look inside! Ask, how am I feeling, and what type of thoughts is my mind producing? With practice, and it does take practice for most of us, your ability to detect low level uneasiness, that irritating background static, which interfers with the clear light of consciousness, will I promise, if you really want it with all your heart, sharpen , often dramatically. If you're not into drama, that's okay (smile). Comedy works wonders!...peace, habsonfire

...free at last, free at last...the timeless state of consciuosness...free of time...free of any psychological need of yesterday for your identity, and the future for your fulfillment...losing the Now, returning to Now...as you shift it seems endlessly, back and forth, like the tides, you continue to grow more conscious...eventually you see that presence has become your predominant state...it's more like a stage...you've worked for this and in every humble way, you've earned it...this is not going to be as easy as we would like it to be my friends, but the journey assumes greater significance when you're increasingly discovering it easier to remain anchored in the Now...free at last! ...peace, habsonfire

the joys of being (#13)...pp.43-44 PTPON

Posted on May 28, 2008 6:58 AM

...Always remember to give full attention to this moment...forgetting comes easy, doesn't it?...if and when you do forget, realize that time is covering up the moment at hand...look at it all as a positive sign if there is ease, and joy, and a lightness in your doing...this is awakened doing...if you find that there is unhappiness and life seems to be a constant struggle with your life situation, you've missed the mark...acting out of the present means that quality, care, and love imbue every action you take...a strong spiritual practice is for you to not worry at all about the results of your actions...no concerns...no worry....from this attitude, the joy of Being flows into everything you do!...no more looking for future salvation...failure?...success?...they have no power any more...this new liberating sense of self comes directly now from Being, your deeper dimension...this is the Life beyond your tired life situation...you don't want that anymore...enough suffering...Now you are whole and complete! ...peace, habsonfire

...sometimes, maybe most of the time, this is tough for us to 'get'...problems are illusions of the mind...let's see...pain is created when you create a problem...now if you've suffered enough already, then the choice is yours and is actually easy to make...simply create no more problems...if you are to be successful in this you have to access the power of the Now...if there are situations that need to be addressed this very instant, as fleeting as this is, your action is best delivered out of present- moment awareness...the more pressing the situation is, the more intense your present- mindedness needs to be...makes sense...it's totally an intuitive response to a situation with no reaction on your part that makes all the difference...just remember, and often we so easily forget in tight and demanding situations,to stay centered in the Now...this is surrender!.... peace, habsonfire ps...it's relatively easy to stay in the Now when we are being quiet, maybe in meditation, or walking in nature...then the unexpected happens, we are pushed to the limits, and then what?...it's always our choice to decide the attitude we will take...nothing comes easy, it seems. ..remembering that all things pass is part of the solution, but above all it's our ability to be here Now and the inner peace we feel that shows us where we are...keep practicing!

"life situations" (11)..pp 39-41of PTPON

Posted on May 26, 2008 10:03 AM

...excuse my negligence in not stating the pages thay my last blog was inspired by: pp.36-39...

... listen now!.......you are waking from the dream of time...this denial of the Now can't go on any longer...you've had enough of the insanity...most can easily see that the Now is happiness...your life is beyond your life situation...your life situation is just this imposter... psychological time?...your life situation is basically psychological time with past regrets and future hopes, all hindering the pure light of consciousness...so it's just this now, right here this instant...it comes to this...pay attention to your life!...this is Now...your worn out shirt life situation exists in time...who in their right mind would want that, really?...whenever you can, create some space, make some room, so you can find the life under your life situation...got that friend?...this awakening out of the dream of time, moving deeply into the Now, using your senses fully (all 5 of 'em!) , being aware of the silent presence of each thing, and aware of the space that allows everything to be,,,allow this 'isness' of all things...and now your mental abstractions are gone...poof!...departed, ancient history...you are getting out of the insane illusiory mind that once had the power of draining you of your life energy, of your life itself...remember now, you are awakening from the nightmare dream of time...into the Eternal Present...the NOW!... peace, habsonfire

psychological time (9)

Posted on May 25, 2008 12:59 PM

...psychological time is not the same as clock time...the former ties you to a past and/or, to a future...clock time is the practical use of time for things you need to do...these things all involve this step right here, and now...psychological time takes you away from this present moment...therefore, most importantly, your degree of presence determines the quality of your consiousness, so if you are able to be aware of your tendencies to delve into the past, or anticipate the future, you are being taken out of this moment and remain an unconscious victim in the continuous loop of the egoic mind...you will be at a great loss to find peace of mind in this circle of suffering...so, be here, be present...you have the techniques necessary to be here as your essential Self....this is your primary purpose, everything else becomes secondary...habsonfire

Enter Now(inspired by pp.33-36)

Posted on May 24, 2008 9:30 AM

...beyond the contents of the mind is the still, observing presence...this witnessing presence is not of the mind...all you, as consciousness, have to do is watch the thoughts, feel the emotions, and observe the reactions...intense presence is required when certain situations cause a reaction with a strong emotional charge...you then may become the reaction...remember at this time that this reaction is not you, just the mind in survival mode...observing the mind draws energy from it and opens up the timeless dimension...this energy turns into presence...the good news is that once you feel what it is to be present, and you know intuitively what being present means, it is easy to 'step out' of the time dimension, or form dimension(it's all the same)...the intention, and it is your intention, is to focus attention on the Now, free of psychological time and now being blessed with a sharper and much more focused mind...enter Now! ...peace, habsonfire

ego's greatest fear (8)

Posted on May 22, 2008 8:04 AM

...All fear is based on the ego's fear of annihilation (pp.28-30) Even wanting to be right instead of seeking, or being peace, is due to the ego's fear of death. I say die, ego, die! Horrific wars, and family feuds, are continously fought over this fear...yes, nations too, filled with fervent nationalism, unconscious pride, have collective egos...the scourge of this beautiful planet...seemingly unstoppable cancers, eating away, devouring we who sleep through it all. Disidentification from your mind means your sense of self is now derived from a much deeper place. Be here as the witness, your true nature! This is true power over all the world's power games and arguments, from Afghanistan to your morning kitchen breakfast table. Accepting and honoring the NOW frees you of suffering and that despot, the egoic mind. Dwell in the NOW! Always say "yes" to the NOW, this very instant, which is all there is, and who we are, all of this, brilliant Stillness. Realize deeply, and continiously, that all we ever 'have', is this present moment. ...peace, habsonfire

blindsided

Posted on May 21, 2008 7:39 AM

Without getting specific, I just got blindsided...just when we feel enlightened and perhaps experienced an aha, or several ahas, life throws us a curve ball and everything gets twisted and bent out of shape...this is the uncertainty principle expressed in it's full glory...this is cause to reflect that the Earth School is really a mixed bag of lessons...it is easy when things are going well, but then when the crap hits the fan we may feel betrayed...why did I not se this coming?......how did I get fooled again?...we have to realize that good and bad stuff happens in the world of duality...this is part and parcel of our collective and personal experience here and Now...the only way to be is to be firmly anchored in the Now as we journey forth on the crest of the wave...to identify with the relative is to be lost in the dream, to identify with the Absolute with intention, is to intimately know as felt realization that Life is Eternal and all things must pass......peace, habsonfire

a wondrous blend of two special souls! (6)

Posted on May 19, 2008 10:30 PM

I'm currently reading Zukav's "Soul to Soul" and am discovering profound truths mostly relating to communication from the heart. He says our species is becoming multisensory and thus heart centered rather than head centered. Look at the daily news...could this have come at a better time?...Can't you see how this is presently happening to us? He says our personalities are becoming aligned with our souls. He uses different words than Eckhart. Right NOW I'm going to look at PTPON (pp.24-26) to see if there is syncronicity occuring. Let's see....hmmmm...If you have difficulty feeling your emotions, start by focusing on the inner energy field of your body. Feel it! You are no longer the emotion, you are the 'watcher' (multisensory!), the observing presence. Practice this, and all that is unconscious in you will be brought into the light of consciousness (Consciousness is All!) Zukav talks about the importance of feeling our emotions as well. For me, his 'multisensory' is the same as Tolle's 'watcher'. Wow!...let me take a conscious breath (smile). We, as a species, are becoming, right NOW as you are reading this blog, MULTISENSORY...or, the WATCHER, both the same, both beyond thought, both beyond emotion...much too much for the intellect and five senses to comprehend. Tolle ends Chapter 1 by saying if no emotion is present, take your attention more deeply into the inner energy field of your body. This is the doorway into BEING! Here is the wonderful part. Ken Wilber, (another beautiful personality) wrote about the Gateless Gate...he said basically that once you go through the door and you turn around to see where you came through, you see and realize there is no door at all! Right NOW, just this, as it is ,Beingness. This I find most beautiful...further words are not helpful, or even necessary. Rest in the STILLNESS. STILLNESS SPEAKS! peace and love, habsonfire

in the now(5)

Posted on May 19, 2008 5:45 AM

(pp.22-24)...as we grow to adulthood we form a somewhat dysfunctional image of ourselves that is totally equated with the mind...because it is tied to past and future events this false sense of self misses being present...in a way it is not really here and continuously denies you of freedom...beyond this egoic mind structure is no- mind...simply, no-mind is consciousness without thought...when free of the internal dialogue, there is stillness, and creative thought is possible only when mind is immersed in no-mind, in stillness...this is our liberation from form...form and formlessness together as one is who we are...alone, egoic thought can be crazy and actually harmful...take a look at the daily news and witness the effects of the unconscious mind, as it weaves it's distorted images into a world of pain, of suffering...so, enlightment is possible when we free ourselves from these burdensome chains, and enter the light of no-mind...when we wake up, awaken, we discover or realize that no-mind has been here, right now, in front of us all the time...consciousness is seeing these words this instant ...here is our anchor to sanity, it is our true home,a quiet, placid cove protecting us from the ravaging waves of the world of form...go there now, it's free, and the most important thing you can do is to be here NOW the only time you can do this is NOW peace, habsonfire

in the know of now( 4...pp20-21)

Posted on May 18, 2008 9:16 AM

I am 21,757 days old,(see Peter Russell's web site)... be intensely conscious of the present moment!...this is the very essence of meditation...create a gap of no-mind where you are highly alert with no thinking whatsoever...practice everyday with small things: washing the dishes, walking in the forest, sitting on a rocky crag, gazing at the bluest sky, feel Infinity...breathing is the shortcut to now...in the car, upon entering, relax, listen to the silence, breathe in..out..in..out..peace ...you are peace...you can measure your success by the amount of inner peace you feel within...this is a feeling realization!...simply learn to disidentify from your mind...every time you create gaps, the light of consciousness grows stronger...again, that's each and every time you create a gap in the stream of mind, you create a space for more consciousness to come in to fill the vacuum(get it?)...you now are able to smile at the voice in your head that had you dancing a puppet dance ...now you are the dance, life is the dancer, as our friend Eckhrt liked to say...resonate with this and may peace and love reign supreme in you, and from your eyes and heart let the rays of spirit flow out as a blessing to all of it , as it is right here , right now, this instant.... Be It!....Eternal friend, and Source, Eternal Stillness! your true Self...One Taste(form and formless together as One)...habsonfire

reflections in now3

Posted on May 17, 2008 3:58 AM

...this freeing ourselves involves being here as our true nature, beneath or beyond the repetitive thoughts, non-judging now, in the gap of 'no-mind'...yes to the end of compulsive thinking!...gradually we increase the feeling of stillness and peace like we've never had before...this is the felt oneness with Being...the vibration level of the energy field rises...deeper, deeper, this selfless state so far beyond it seems from our former view of ourselves...much greater alertness now! reflections in now2

Posted on May 16, 2008 3:11 AM

...this feeling realization... abiding here... now... to regain the awareness of Being, like taking the hill, connectedness to the immeasureable... not to be able to feel this is the disease... the dis ease, our common affliction...the mind, a wonderful tool when not in control of us with it's illusiory screen of thoughts creating a world of separation...the illusion of disconnection!...freedom's birth is the realization that you are the watcher of the mind, you are deeper and beyond the mind...thought is just a bleep in the vast timeless realm of Being...but here's the best news!...you bloom ...you awaken NOW you realize that all things that really matter...BEAUTY...LOVE...CREATIVITY...JOY...INNER PEACE... arise from beyond the never never more ...that separate illusionary mind....rest in peace...habsonfire

...reflections in now...

Posted on May 15, 2008 6:52 AM

The following thoughts and reflections gleaned come mostly from Eckhart Tolle's, "Practicing The Power Of Now"(pp.15-16):

beingness!

beyond yet including these myriad forms of life

subject to birth and death

'being' as an open concept, more open than the word god, although the very same!

we are blessed who have access to who we really are this beingness

some call it consciousness some call it awareness no matter

it is as it is just so!

all of this is felt rather than mentally understood it's a feeling realization!

when you are present, the infinite invisible is available,

your feeling of your own presence, of your direct friendship with right now

egoic mind structures fall to the wayside

transmuted by pure consciousness such a small step, a giant realization!

from the word being to the experience of being just this, here and now, breathe gently

and deeply smile for no good reason!

peace... habsonfire
