Money is an important factor in creating a life that would keep you comfortable, healthy, respectable and amused. I mean, let's take each one of the above a step at a time:
Comfort = a roof over your head. No brainer, a cave is not an option in the modern world
Health = if you want to increase yor life expectancy, you may start out born with a caesarian, medication etc..
Respectability = decent clothing, even if you make them yourselves, you will need to buy materials, sackcloth is not an option in the western world, it would be easier of course...

And now you are comfortable, healthy and respectable thanks to your birthright and money. You are taken care of with the base issues, such as food and security. What is missing? Love, the intangible thing that makes sense of why we are born. Actually, of the above required money first, and love is something we should get for free!! Money is an important factor in our lives. It used to be bartering, but now everything is processed and fed to the masses - yep, us because our lives have become so dependent on where we live and our evolution into an instant delivery society. So what can't money buy... the romantic stuff, the tides, the weather, dates of birth, the air we breathe, animals and all the wealth and beauty found in nature, the list goes on and on....my goodness yet there are people out there who believe they control us and our every waking moment. They are capable of making us happy, sad, happy, sad, etc...but they cannot control the wind patterns, the rainfall, the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, how we eat, sleep and grow. They can be in our lives, but they are not our lives. You are the master of your own destiny. You are your own best friend or worst enemy and if we are clever we wise up to this fact early on in life. In some parts of your life love will come automatically, at least in the early days when in the arms of mother who brought you into the world. If you have a loving father, then you are doubly blessed, and if you have siblings and an extended family, then you are indeed one very fortunate being. You have a headstart on your life's journey. But love is not a given, and we spend most of our lives looking for it.We may find it and lose it again. It will break our hearts and change our personalities. SO how do we deal with the problem. We build our respectability. We decide who we are and how much hurt we are prepared to endure. The best way to learn is to compare notes with our fellow travellers in life. It is devastating to hear that someone gives up the struggle to live because of a broken heart... because every time a light goes out in our hearts. We do so need each other, and to love is to hurt. Take the risk, choose your words carefully, give big bear hugs and mean it when you say "I love you", it works.....keep your own love light burning, cherish it and share it and you will be amazed how the feeling spreads.
