My husband and I are quite content living in the same small town in which we grew up. It's a nice size, the school system is good, the people are friendly and we have a great support system with lots of friends and family within the area. What more could a couple ask for? We are in good health and have two steady incomes to support ourselves. That is more than we can say about far too many people in these rough times.

My husband is quite fortunate to have a stable job within the town. Our town, like so many others out there has lost a considerable amount of industry within the last several years. I work about a half an hours drive away from my place of employment which makes it rough in the winter but I muddle through.....the snow, ice and other treacherous conditions. We are not getting rich but we are comfortable and have a roof over our heads. Unfortunately for us, we are living in a tiny house with pets and the hopes of starting a family. We bought this house with the intentions of being here three to five years. That was four years, two dogs and a cat ago. We have two rooms to complete and we will be ready to sell (keeping fingers crossed). This house has been a trivial (to say the least) project. The previous owners had this house moved to its current location and lived in it for over fifty years. I am sure that you can just picture what kind of stress and headaches the projects put us through. I am hoping that we can escape the curse of the previous owners...the curse of "Ron and Helen" (names have been changed to protect our sanity.
