Ok my friends I had the longest interviewing session I can ever recall, talking to ALLLLLLLL the Kardashians. I had never met them, nor seen the show. I did a full on Kardashian Kram in preparation, watching major shows from every season. I genuinely wanted to know why they have become a cultural phenomenon? Why do so many people love to watch their every move and why do so many others love to hate them.  Are they completely ego centered? Are they really "famous for being famous" or is there something more?

I "GOT IT" ... those  answers  +more.  Those of you who watch the show know they hold nothing back. This interview I'd say was another level of forthrightness and honesty.  Who surprised me the most?  Scott. Lamar and Khloe. Kim.

Everyone who's asked was the marriage a publicity stunt? Why did she leave after 72 days?  Her answer leveled me.

Please note that this show will air Sunday at 8/7 central not it's usual time. Followed by Part 2 of my conversation with 50 Cent at 9/8c where he talks about things you wouldn't imagine coming from him.  Meditation.  Outgrowing his audience.  What really matters now.  I had a great eye opening experience with him and released a lot of my preconceived notions and judgement. I'm loving this NEXT CHAPTER I get to do for myself what I intended for you the audience: Open the heart space, expand the way we see things, especially each other.

A great day on OWN beginning with Super SOUL Sunday at 11am/10c with Devon Franklin (thanks for your many "likes" on that one) hope you'll tune in. An insightful visit with the Kardashians, every single one of them except 2 year old Mason.  Then FIF.

I have received many rewarding and heartwarming comments from you about SUPER SOUL SUNDAY. I don't use the word rewarding loosely. Your feedback is vital, as well as encouraging and inspiring. This show symbolizes the reason why I wanted to stay in television and didn't glide off into the sunset on a boat somewhere after ending the 25 year run of The Oprah Show.

I wanted to use television to drop little pieces of Light into our consciousness. SUPER SOUL SUNDAY is the beginning of the fulfillment of that dream. A place where open minded "seekers" can gather to explore the multiple palettes of Spirituality. For me Spirituality means living your life with an open heart to Kindness, Grace, Gratitude, Forgiveness, Faith, Courage, Truth, Love and ultimately Divine Law.

So I'm officially calling all SEEKERS—those of you seeking Success, Happiness, Fulfillment, Joy. Those of you seeking more meaning and purpose, who have an understanding or even just an inkling that Life is grander, and more mysterious than we can ever know and you want to be aligned with the Mystery and the Magic that is our Universal birthright. If what I'm saying speaks to you at all, then please join me beginning this week for SUPER SOUL SUNDAY.  We're creating a gathering of spiritual thought leaders, to stimulate and inspire us to move in the direction of our deepest heart's desire to learn from our mistakes and keep moving forward.

I met a young man a couple of months ago who's faith was so strong and Light was so bright, that after less than 7 minutes with him I said we need to do a show together.  An unlikely candidate to be a spiritual thought leader, (he's a Hollywood executive) I was so moved by his passion and commitment to faith while functioning in the lion's den of entertainment I could hardly wait to do a SUPER SOUL SUNDAY and share his insights, clarity and wisdom with you.  He's in the business of developing movies and talent, but as you will see, is a bonafied dynamo himself... a different kind of spiritual teacher for our times.

Thanks for watching. Join me for more on Sunday at 11/10c.

In the car having just left Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent. Gotta say, he was quite surprising. We talked for 2 hrs. You'll see Part 1 this Sunday. Here are 5 things I learned from Fiddy:

1. He meditates regularly.

2. Received his mantra from Deepak Chopra, whose book he's currently reading.

3. He was not allowed to use curse words in his grandmother's house and still follows that rule.

4. A recent conversation with philanthropist Ray Chambers was life changing for him.

And my favorite....

5. He believes either pray or worry...no need for both.

Great conversation about rap culture, fatherhood, love, and life. He describes himself as two people—Curtis and 50 Cent—I was fascinated to hear his description of them both. Really glad I did it.  Really liked him.  Watch Next Chapter, Sunday 9/8c.

Today's Thank You Game challenge is to thank someone you recently met.

I'd like to thank Jenna Hall, Mastin Kipp's girlfriend, whom I met just a week ago for lunch. I could feel your whole heart in your smile, your love of God and life and all things spiritual. Thank you for being such a joyful representation of Spirit in a body.

Today's Thank You Game challenge is to thank your mom, or someone who has been like a mom to you.

Thank you to my mother, Vernita Lee, for doing the best she knew and could do in raising me. Thank you to Maya Angelou who has stood in the gap, as a mother, sister, and friend. Thank you to Gayle King. I've never seen or heard of a better mother than she--such RESPECT and of course love she has for her children. She has treated me the same; 100% always in my corner cheering me on!

Today's Thank You Game challenge is to thank someone who probably thinks you've forgotten all about them.

I'd like to thank my best friend in the 3rd grade, Hermine Harris, and my best friend in 7th and 8th grade, Joyce Williams.  Sending good vibes your way after all these years.

Today's Thank You Game challenge is to thank someone who showed you kindness.

Years ago I was on trial in Amarillo Texas accused, and later acquitted, of saying disparaging words about a burger. It was a very stressful time. We had to move our whole show to Texas, tape at night, and appear in the courtroom all day for SIX weeks. The courtroom, for me, was an intimidating and hostile environment. In Dr. Phil's words those beef guys "want your hide on a platter".

One morning, as I approached the courthouse a small, round, red headed woman reached across the yellow barricade and pushed a worn matchbook into my hand. Inside she had written: "Keep strong, I'm praying for you".

That single act of kindness brought tears to my eyes at the time and remains one of the sweetest moments of my life.

She didn't sign her name. I did not see her again, though I scanned the fence line every morning. In my mind, I named her Dalia.  That little note was like a dalia blossoming in my heart.

That was 14 years ago.
You never forget true kindness.
