Oprah is turning 60 this month! Over the years, she's gained plenty of experience and insight into being herself and enjoying life's journey. Read Oprah's special birthday message in which she shares her hard-earned wisdom.
However, Oprah hasn't just been fortifying her spirit; she's also building some hard-earned muscles at SoulCycle as part of her birthday celebration. Last week, she, OWN President Erik Logan and some other friends tried the new hit workout class.

Oprah also shared an enthusiastic video after the experience on Instagram.
It wasn't all fitness, though—Oprah also celebrated with cake and other treats at the OWN offices in Los Angeles.

It's award season, and Oprah is stepping out in style. Before she headed to the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, hosted by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, she took a moment on Instagram to thank her beauty staff.
At the awards ceremony, she met up with her co-star from Lee Daniels' The Butler, Forest Whitaker.
Oprah also snagged a photo with Lupita Nyong'o, who took home the Critics' Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress.
I’m a big fan of the CJ by Cookie Johnson line—and of the fabulous Cookie herself—and I’m not the only one: Oprah and Gayle both have several pairs of the figure-flattering jeans in their respective closets. And now, just in time for World AIDS Day on December 1st, Cookie (Magic Johnson’s wife) has designed these supercute jeans and tee. Ten dollars from the sale of each charity jean and $2 from the sale of each tee will be donated to the Magic Johnson Foundation, in support of their HIV/AIDS initiative. I love it—clothes that will make you look and feel good this holiday season.

Today, Oprah joined fellow luminaries Ben Bradlee, Bill Clinton, Gloria Steinem and more at the White House as they received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The award is the highest honor the nation can give a civilian.
During the event, President Obama spoke about Oprah's previous employers advising her to change her name to Susie to seem more relatable to television audiences, and joked that he had gotten similar advice. The White House also posted a tweet about Oprah's impact on millions of people:
Later that night, Oprah showed off her new medal with Stedman at the Medal of Freedom dinner.
Backstage at The Jonathan Ross Show in London, Oprah happened across a quintet of well-coiffed guys—the English-Irish pop group One Direction! She shared her encounter on Instagram and Twitter.

You may have noticed that Oprah.com got a makeover with a purple twist. That's because, along with GLAAD, we're celebrating Spirit Day, a national day to support LGBT youth and stand up to prejudice and bullying. We'll be wearing purple all day and celebrating with special Spirit Day activities on our Facebook page.
Then, on October 27, we'll be hosting a special two-part event. Programming kicks off at 9/8c with Oprah's Next Chapter: "Gay Hollywood." Oprah will be sitting down with comedian Wanda Sykes, Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Dan Bucatinsky, winner of an Emmy for his work on Scandal, to discuss their experiences as gay individuals in the entertainment industry.
Following Oprah's Next Chapter, at 10/9c, we'll be airing the premiere of Bridegroom, Linda Bloodworth-Thomason's documentary about Shane Bitney Crone and his journey to honor his late partner, Thomas Bridegroom.
Below, Shane explains why wearing purple today is so important.
