Ahh, the Honeymoon Phase

I hate to compare weight-loss to a relationship, but, well, I'm gonna. For me, the first week of any diet (Okay, life-style change) is...uplifting, exciting, inspirational! I'm feeling really good about making the decision to get healthy and I'm motivated to stick with it. In my whole one day of eating well things have gone A-OK. I ate some fruit, had some veggies and spent last evening cooking up a storm to prepare myself for the the next few days. But, like any period of dietary harmony I know things may take a sudden change. Before you know it I could be found staring wide eyed at the vending machine as the Doritos taunt me with their promise of cheesy deliciousness. Damn those little triangles of salty sinfulness!

Thankfully, I have the willpower to resist...today (and probably tomorrow).

P.S. I just got my teeth cleaned. Think the removal of plaque will work to my favor in this week's weigh in? I also need a hair cut...hmmmm. I might be on to something here! :-)
