Actress Raven-Symoné

Best known for her roles on The Cosby Show and her hit TV show That's So Raven, actress, singer and producer Raven-Symoné has already made a name for herself in the entertainment world. Now she's following a new passion with her do-it-yourself video website, Raven-Symoné Presents. Dr. Robin talks with Raven at Maria Shriver's 2007 Women's Conference about her latest venture and how she hopes to inspire young girls to pursue their goals.

At Raven-Symoné Presents, users can watch how-to videos on everything from room decorating and cooking to entertaining and beauty tips. Raven says launching her online company has given her an opportunity to showcase a lesser-known side of her creative personality. "This is my passion," she says. "Behind closed doors, I'm a crafty person."

The site also serves to inspire girls to learn new skills or share their knowledge by uploading their own videos. Unlike many other media outlets that focus on celebrity gossip, Raven says her site focuses on helping girls build self-esteem and discover more about their own strengths and talents. "It's about understanding who you are and exploring that," Raven says.
