Gayle is joined in the studio by Cory Booker, the newly elected mayor of Newark, New Jersey, and one of Gayle's personal friends! Recently named one of America's Most Powerful Players Under 40 by Black Enterprise magazine, Mayor Booker has gained recognition for his innovative ideas and dreams for the future.

Known for his unconventional political practices and approach to reform, Mayor Booker talks about why he has been a resident of some of the most notorious public housing projects in Newark and continues to live in the projects even as mayor. He also talks about his hard-line attack on crime, his determination to revive the city of Newark and the death threats he's received from local gangs. "Every morning I wake up with a sense of purpose and clarity of mission that I've never had before in my life," Cory tells Gayle. "You know what you have to do, you know what the challenges are and you really feel like you're on the front lines of the fight for the American Dream."
