Clutter-Free for Charity

When you clean out all of your clutter, what do you do with it? Does it get thrown away, or do you give it away to others? Instead of tossing items in the trash, Peter says there are many organizations that will help you to get rid of things you own and pass them on in a valuable way to be used by others.

Peter talks about a few organizations you can donate to:
  • A great way to get rid of business suits and other professional attire is by donating to Dress for Success, a nonprofit organization that provides attire to low-income women.
  • The Cinderella Project, a charitable organization that collects formal attire to give to underprivileged high school students so they can attend the prom, is a great place to donate gently used formal dresses.
  • Do you have multiple pairs of eyeglasses lying around the house? Give the Gift of Sight is a program that provides free eyecare and gently used eyeglasses to underprivileged people around the world.
