A survivor of breast cancer, Terri Bronocco Jones helps women fighting breast cancer avoid choosing between treatments and feeding their families.

How it Began — A Personal Battle
When Terri Jones was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer, she was told her best chance was a bone marrow transplant. When her insurance company denied her request, she felt her hope had been taken from her.

Although her appeal was granted within a week, as Terri waited she had discovered that thousands of women die each year because they cannot afford treatment.

"I knew how they must feel," Terri says. "And I knew I had to do something about it."

The Solution — Help Women Afford Treatment
Terri stayed in contact with her doctor, Dr. Katherine Stafford, and together they formed Women Involved in Nurturing, Giving, Sharing (WINGS), an organization dedicated to helping uninsured and underinsured women afford treatments without sacrificing the welfare of their families.

"We tell people don't make a choice whether you are going to save yourself or feed your children," says Terri. "We will find another way."
