CHICAGO, IL — Tom Cruise is literally jumping for joy on Monday's Oprah when he shares his true feelings about new girlfriend Katie Holmes. Oprah says, "I've known Tom for a long time and he has always been so private. I've never seen him like this before—he's gone." Tom gives details on how their whirlwind romance began and what it is about her that made him fall madly in love. The studio audience is on the edge of their seats when Oprah asks, "Are you going to ask her to marry you?" Tom blushes before revealing his much awaited answer. During the show, 300 audience members rose to their feet as Tom spontaneously ran from the stage to bring Katie out to join him on set. His fans were overjoyed to get their first look at the happy couple up close. Also on the show, Oprah reveals the first sneak peek at Tom's new, highly anticipated summer blockbuster, War of the Worlds.
